| Note from Papa Geno Shortly after I went on line with this WebSite, I was nearly overwhelmed with requests for herb recipes and cooking tips. Being a gardener who likes to cook what I grow, I of course had a file folder full of herby recipes that I was willing to share. What I did not have was hardcore cooking or publishing experience, and I certainly didn't know about copyright infringement and other technical aspects of publishing recipes. I was stumped - wanting to respond intelligently to my customers, but afraid of doing something stupid or getting sued for plagiarizing recipes.
One day while making some Thai Chicken with Basil, the solution came to me out of the blue. Here is my favorite cookbook in front of me, I know the woman who wrote it, I know her to be extremely knowledgable about herbs and veggies and cooking and gardening (and publishing).
So . . . Why not ask Renee Shepherd if she would help me with some material devoted to cooking with herbs? I did, she said "Sure," and this portion of my WebSite is the result. She now gets to pick which recipes appear here, and she will have a huge voice in determining how we develop this little resource. Papa Geno |

| Note from Renee Dear Gardening and Cooking Friends, It is a pleasure to share recipes with you through Papa Geno's. I've been working with his herbs for several years now, and the many plants I've enjoyed adding to my garden from his greenhouses lend a sumptious diversity to my herb beds. We both really enjoy working with culinary herbs, knowing that good cooks have been enriching their repertories with these aromatic and beneficial plants for hundreds of years.
