We hope the following statement will help you understand how Papa Geno’s collects, uses, and safeguards the information you provide on our website. Papa Geno’s is in the business of growing herbs, scented geraniums and veggie seedlings. We are not in the “information business” and we have never sold, loaned or swapped any information about our customers with any other person or business.
If you browse our website, you do so anonymously. We don’t collect personal information — including your e-mail address. We do log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which parts of our website you visit and how long you spend there. But we do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable.
Like other commercial websites, the Papa Geno’s website may use a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information about how you use the site. An example of such information is how many visitors check out the “gifts” section vs how many visit the “herb plants” section. This data is always used in the aggregate, and never tied to any particular e-mail address or person. And it is used only by us, as we try to figure out what our customers want to see on our website.
At times we may provide you with the opportunity to voluntarily supply us with personal information, such as your e-mail address and postal address, for purposes such as corresponding with us, making a purchase, entering a promotional giveaway, requesting our online and/or print newsletters or participating in an online survey. An example of such an opportunity is the “Survey” on this site. We are not trying to discover information about you personally, but rather to develop an understanding of Papa Geno’s customers as a group.
If you provide us with your e-mail or postal address, or have done so in the past, we will ask you if we can use it to send you updates on the latest Papa Geno’s products and promotions. We have never purchased e-mail addresses from any other individual or business, and the only way we will have obtained any information about you is by you voluntarily completing a form on our website, or responding to a print advertisement. We have never engaged in spamming, and have no intention of doing so.
We may use information that you have given us to learn more about our customers so that we can develop better products and services. We may also use the information to inform you about new products, services, and offers that may be of interest to you. These offers may be based on information you provided in your initial transaction with us or in surveys. However, we do not share your profile with anyone else outside of Papa Geno’s without your consent, and no one else can access your information.
Papa Geno’s provides customers with an easy means to decline to receive email newsletters or product offerings. At any time, you may request to discontinue receiving these offers from us by simply replying to the email and informing us of your preferences. All email offers that you receive from Papa Geno’s will tell you how to decline further email offers.
Papa Geno’s encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on the sites their children visit. We are a family-owned business and both owners have kids and grandkids who use the Internet. We are as appalled by the garbage available out there as you are and will willingly participate in any effort to eliminate or restrict it.
